UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in 2020 Fatal Shooting at 6535 Willowbend Boulevard
January 19, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 6535 Willowbend Boulevard about 8:10 p.m. on September 21, 2020.
The suspect, Isaac Malone Roberson (b/m, 19), is charged with murder in the 209th State District Court. He is accused in the death of Kenneth Evans, 37.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Smith and Detective E. Martinez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at a convenience store at the above address. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Evans deceased inside the business.
Further investigation determined Evans and another male exchanged gunfire outside the store where Evans was fatally struck. The suspect, described only a black male dressed all in black, fled the scene.
A third male, who was inside the store during the shooting, was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence.
Further investigation identified Roberson as the suspect in this case. He was taken into custody today (January 15) without incident.
