January 28, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 6550 Hillcroft Avenue about 11 a.m. on January 14.  

The suspect, Alexander Aguilar (H/m, 27), is charged with murder in the 178th State District Court.  He is accused in the death of Charles Hicks, 25, who died at the scene. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective N. Sharp reported:  

Mr. Hicks was found deceased in the courtyard of an apartment complex at the above address.  A witness reported seeing two suspects chasing Hicks through the complex.  A short time later, Hicks was found with multiple gunshot wounds. 

Further investigation identified Aguilar as a suspect in this case.  He was taken into custody on Wednesday (January 27) and subsequently charged for his role in the incident.
