Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4100 North Freeway
July 7, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 4100 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday (July 6).
The identity of the male victim is pending verfiication by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer D. Vinton reported:
The driver of a gray Kenworth tractor trailer was traveling soughtbound on the North Freeway when the victim, a pedestrian, attempted to cross the freeway and was struck by the tractor trailer. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and did not show any signs of intoxication. The driver was questioned and released.
