Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7400 Long Point Drive

June 15, 2021 - Houston police have learned a man critically injured in a hit-and-run crash at 7400 Long Point Drive about 9:10 p.m. on June 6 has died.

The identity of the victim, 54, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Uribe and Officer J. Roberson reported:

The victim was crossing the street, not in a crosswalk, when he was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling eastbound at the above address.  The driver then fled the scene.  A witness saw the victim lying in the street and called 9-1-1.  The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where, on Monday (June 14), he was pronounced deceased from his injuries.

The driver of the unknown vehicle remains at large.
