Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2000 Fannin Street

June 21, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one male and the wounding of two other persons at 2000 Fannin Street about 2:45 p.m. on Saturday (June 19).  

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Thompson and L. Patterson reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found Houston Fire Department paramedics providing medical assistance to two persons who had been shot.  A third victim was found lying on the sidewalk deceased.  He had been shot multiple times.  The two surviving victims were transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.  

At this time, there is no known motive.  Investigators believe at least two suspects were involved in the shooting.  One suspect was said to be driving in a silver SUV, possibly a Honda or Toyota.
