Investigation into Shooting at 400 North St. Charles Street

March 1, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 400 North St. Charles Street that occurred about 8:30 p.m. last Friday (February 26).

The victim, Romario Carillo, 19, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer F. Lee Jr. and B. Godoy reported:

Mr. Carillo and a female witness were sitting in a car parked in an empty lot at the above address when they were approached by two suspects.  The suspects then began firing at the victims, striking Carillo multiple times.  The female witness was not injured. 

The suspects, described only as two males wearing masks and hoods, then fled in a mid-sized silver or gray crossover style SUV.
