March 8, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman at 6817 Homestead Road about 8 p.m. on Saturday (March 6).

The victim, Zatovia Broussard, 35, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives Z. Brumley and H. Martinez reported:

Ms. Broussard, who is four months pregnant, and her boyfriend attended a wake service at the above address.  As they were leaving the parking lot, an unknown suspect(s) fired multiple shots at them, striking Broussard multiple times.  Her boyfriend transported her to an area hospital.  The suspect(s) fled the scene.  No witnesses remained at the scene to be interviewed by police.
