Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting Incident at 4350 Aledo Street

March 15, 2021 - A  suspect has been arrested and is facing charges for firing shots at Houston police officers at 4350 Aledo Street about 1:05 a.m. last Friday (March 12).

The suspect, an 11-year-old male, was referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on a charge of aggravated assault against a peace officer.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives F. Lee, Jr. and A. Graf II reported:

Officers responded to a report of discharging of firearms in the area of the above address.  Upon arriving, officers observed a muzzle flash from an upstairs window of the residence at the above address and a bullet whiz by one of the patrol officers.  Officers immediately sought cover and set up a perimeter.

Members of the HPD SWAT and Hostage Negotiations teams were dispatched to the scene.  When the homeowner eventually arrived in the area, a juvenile male was called out from the residence.  Investigators questioned the juvenile and he was subsequently arrested and referred to juvenile probation authorities.
