May 10, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3920 Omeara Drive about 9:15 p.m. last Friday (May 7).

The identity of the victim, 74, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Miller and Detective D. Stark reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in front of an apartment at the above address.  Witnesses stated the victim was arguing with a young male and then they heard gunshots.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  

The suspect fled on foot.  He is described only as a young, thin black male, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, wearing a red do-rag.
