Investigation into Shooting at 500 Pecore Street

November 01, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man and wounding of a juvenile male at 500 Pecore Street about 7:40 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 31).

The adult victim, 27, was shot multiple times.  The juvenile, 1 year old, sustained a graze wound.  Both were transported to area hospitals in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives J. Blum and M. Deleon reported:

The adult victim was driving southbound on the North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) under the 610 North Loop overpass when a road rage incident occurred with a suspect in another vehicle.  The suspect, driving a black SUV, possibly a Nissan Rogue, with out of state license plates, fired shots and struck the victim's vehicle several times.  The victim then exited the freeway and was followed by the suspect to the 500 block of Pecore Street, where the suspect again fired shots at the victim's vehicle.  The suspect, described only as a black male in his 20s or 30s, then fled the location towards North Main Street and the North Freeway.

The adult victim was struck in the chest and shoulder.  His child passenger was grazed in the buttocks.  Paramedics transported both to area hospitals.
