Investigation into Fatal Crash at 5100 North Eldridge Parkway

November 02, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 5100 North Eldridge Parkway about 5:50 a.m. today (Nov. 2).  

The identity of the female victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer M. Ramos reported:

Witnesses stated the victim was driving a gray Toyota Corolla southbound on Eldridge Parkway without headlights on when the vehicle crossed the double yellow line and entered into the northbound lanes.  The Corolla struck a red Nissan Frontier traveling in the northbound lanes.  The impact caused the Corolla to spin around.  A silver Toyota Tacoma traveling northbound then struck the Corolla, which came to a final rest in the ditch on the east side of the road. 

The victim and her passenger were extricated from the Corolla.  Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.  The passenger and the driver of the Tacoma were transported to area hospitals with non life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
