November 15, 2021 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 3615 Village Pine Drive about 12:35 p.m. on Sunday (November 14).

An autopsy will determine the cause of death of the victim, Roland Smith, 85.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Hughey and C. Lamont reported:

HPD patrol officers were called to Kingwood HCA Hospital at 22999 Eastex Freeway following a report of a suspicious death.  Mr. Smith, who resides at the above address, had been admitted with multiple lesions on his body, apparently from lying on the bathroom floor for an extended period of time.

The investigation is pending result of an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
