Traffic Incident at 6800 Wilcrest August 24, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at the 6800 block of Wilcrest about 12:30 a.m. today (August 24). The male victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D. S. Runyan and Officer D.J. Gutierrez reported: A red Honda and a blue Honda were traveling at a high rate of speed on Bellaire near Wilcrest when a third vehicle changed lanes in front of the red Honda causing it to leave the roadway and end up on the bank of a bayou. The driver of the red Honda died at the scene. There were no other injuries. A passenger in the blue Honda provided information to investigators about the accident. This case will be referred to the Harris County District Attorney’s office for possible charges, pending the outcome of the investigation.
