Incident at 8800 Airport #219

September 9, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 8800 Airport #219 about 7:20 p.m. on Friday (Sept. 8).

The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N.T. Ruland and Officer M. Khan reported:

The victim was standing in the open doorway of his motel room when two males nearby got into an argument. Those two males exchanged gunfire and the victim was struck one time in the head.

Investigators learned the victim and two males are all acquaintances and the incident is possibly drug-related.

Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1500 Robertson Street

June 3, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1500 Robertson Street about 1:05 a.m. today .

The identity of the deceased male, 55, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer V. Nguyen reported:

The male and a female driver of a black Chevrolet Impala were at a gas station at 718 North Loop East (North Interstate Highway 610 East) service road when they got into an argument. The male placed his body inside of the vehicle by entering through the driver's window. The driver proceeded to travel northbound on Robertson Street when the male fell out of the vehicle. Paramedics were called and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

The known driver, 33, left the vehicle at the scene and then left on foot before officers arrived. She is being sought for questioning. The investigation is continuing.
