The Tactical Support Command responds to
events ranging from traffic accidents to special threat
situations. Key responsibilities include patrolling and
responding to calls for service in the Central Business
District, providing airborne support to patrol and
investigative divisions relative to the detection and
apprehension of suspects and fugitives, responding to
specialized and routine accident investigations,
developing and implementing proactive programs designed
to reduce traffic accidents and fatalities, recovering
property and evidence from areas under water, protecting
local and visiting dignitaries, and supplying protection
and security management for special events.
