GENERAL INFO

Root Memorial Square is one of the newest properties under the Convention & Entertainment Facilities Department umbrella. It is located on the east side of the central business district on LaBranch Street, across from the Toyota Center.

C&E manages Root Square and coordinates events ancillary to activities at Toyota Center, nearby George R. Brown Convention Center and the Hilton Americas-Houston hotel. Root Square is bordered by Clay, Bell, Austin and La Branch and features many mature oak trees.

Root Memorial Square offers the opportunity to be associated with the excitement created inside the arena, such as sporting events, concerts, circuses and other family activities. Likewise, its proximity to the George R. Brown Convention Center and the Hilton Americas-Houston affords possible tie-ins to events taking place at those two landmarks, too. Root Memorial Square features two artworks -- Gazebo Roof and Heritage Lanterns.
