Who is eligible?
All residents in the City of Houston Automated Recycling Program that have registered with RecycleBank and activated their account.
What is the program?
RecycleBank is a rewards program that motivates participants to recycle by offering valuable RecycleBank Points for your household recycling efforts. RecycleBank home recycling members earn five Points for every two pounds of waste recycled, and up to 450 Points a month. Every 10 Points equals up to $1 in reward value, and active, participating home recycling members can experience a potential savings of $100–$200 a year.
Points can be redeemed for rewards such as groceries, apparel and gift cards at local and national businesses, or reward partners, in the Houston area. www.RecycleBank.com contains a wealth of information about the program including a list of all participating reward partners.
How do I activate my RecycleBank account?
RecycleBank technology measures and records the amount you recycle, converts into Points, and credits your RecycleBank account each time you recycle. All you have to do is bring your recyclables to the curb on the designated day in your new cart. The more you recycle, the more Points you can earn and the more money you can save each month ... Recycle, Redeem, Reward!
When
Residents will be receiving information from RecycleBank that provides specific information on how to register with RecycleBank by activation of your account. Activate immediately and you could start earning Points with the first pickup!
