The Mayor’s Office of Special Events not only produces timeless, family focused events, the office permits and partners with other remarkable events in the city. The Art Car Parade celebrated their 30th anniversary in April 2017 and the Mayor’s Office of Special Events, along with our friends at KTRK/ABC13 Houston were there to capture the entire event! Civic celebration has been a major contributor in helping to establish a sense of community in the most diverse city in the nation. 2nd Annual Greens Bayou Regatta

Greens Bayou Regatta LogoThe Greens Bayou Regatta will combine recreation, stewardship, and education on one of Houston’s most beautiful and secluded waterways, Greens Bayou. The 7.5 mile race course will showcase two planned launch locations, Brock Park and Thomas Bell Foster Park. This regatta will raise funds and awareness to implement the proposed 27.5 mile paddle trail. Register today for this exciting annual event and experience some of Houston’s hidden natural areas!
