MOSE Social Media
MOSE Social was created to engage, market and promote the Mayor’s Office of Special Events (MOSE) Civic Celebration Program throughout the year. MOSE has a presence on multiple social media outlets including Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Google +. These sites are updated regularly to provide information on: pending and current events; updates, such as weather and street closures; contest and promotions’ photos and videos, and; additional information on MOSE Signature Events.
With the generous support of sponsors, MOSE produces many annual Signature Events including: Tour de Houston Presented by Apache; Southwest Airlines Freedom Over Texas; Houston Salutes American Heroes Parade; H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade; and, the Mayor’s Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting Ceremony Presented by Reliant. As a benefit to our sponsors, we not only promote events on various social media outlets, but we also tag our sponsors; which allows for greater visibility and marketing opportunities.
SOCIAL MEDIA + CIVIC EVENTS + IMAGINATION = ENGAGEMENT
In order to further promote and market civic events, we have created imaginative social media campaigns which add to advertising opportunities for potential sponsors. Social media campaigns have been created to enhance the exposure of civic event sponsors. Benefits begin with a six week social media campaign on MOSE Social pages that continues through the end of the event. Sponsors have an opportunity to allow the MOSE team to create daily postings and/or forward postings for marketing and promotion. MOSE Social campaigns offer an imaginative, engaging, and permanent marketing feature that will remain on-line indefinitely, which highlights a sponsor’s continuous mission and willingness to support the community.
