SERIOUSLY DELINQUENT TAXPAYERS IN THE CITY OF HOUSTON
The City of Houston has authorized the publication of the following list of individuals and businesses that are delinquent in the payment of their City of Houston property taxes. The following list contains taxpayers with delinquencies, including penalties and interest. Every attempt has been made to identify taxpayers who are currently challenging their property values with the Harris County Appraisal District and exclude them from this list.
In addition, taxpayers who have been granted "65 and Over" or "Disability" exemptions have been excluded as well as taxpayers in installment contracts. In addition to City of Houston taxes, these taxpayers may also owe taxes to Harris County and a school district. To research tax accounts online, visit the website of Paul Bettencourt, Tax Assessor-Collector at www.tax.co.harris.tx.us.
To make payment, please contact the law firm of Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP at 713.844.3561 or you may send an email to: TaxHelp@publicans.com for assistance. For questions regarding valuation and ownership, contact the Harris County Appraisal District at 713.957.7800. Some recent payments may not be reflected.
Removal of one's name from the list of Seriously Delinquent Taxpayers may take as long as 30 days after your account has been paid in full or a payment installment agreement has been agreed to and signed.
Prospective vendors / contractors must file an Affidavit of Ownership & Control with any bid or proposal.
It is City policy to refuse to do business with persons who owe delinquent ad valorem taxes. Certain exceptions apply. [See Art. VIII, Chap. 15, Code of Ordinances]
