April 25, 2014 Join the Houston Airport System on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as hundreds of people gather for HobbyFest, a family-friendly day near the tarmac at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) on the East Ramp. Admission is free with a non-perishable food donation, which will benefit the Hobby Area Rotary Club and the local Hobby Airport community. Activities will include, but are not limited to: live music, moonwalks, face painting, a Mad Science Exhibit and drawings for prizes such as round trip airline tickets, designer luggage, Denon headphones, Pappas Restaurants gift cards and more. Because these drawings are used as fundraisers to help charitable organizations, a donation is required to be eligible to win. There is also a Bar-B-Que Cook-off for individuals and teams. Entry fees for the cook-off begin at $25. To locate the event as you arrive at Hobby Airport, follow the "Special Events" signs to the site for HobbyFest.
