Mayor’s Office of Veterans & Military Affairs Invites You to the City of Houston's Vietnam War Veterans Day Ceremony

The Mayor’s Office of Veterans & Military Affairs (MOVMA) will be hosting the City of Houston's Vietnam War Veterans Day Ceremony outside of City Hall on March 29, 2022 at 11 a.m. National Vietnam War Veterans Day is observed annually on March 29th and is a way to thank and honor our nation’s Vietnam veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice. This event will be attended by the general public, active-duty personnel, veterans, and elected officials. The guest speaker is a decorated Vietnam veteran who will share his experiences about his service in Vietnam, his experience upon returning home and his journey through life years afterwards.

It is customary to honor the official Vietnam War Commemoration Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin to each Vietnam War Veteran in attendance. Each lapel pin will be presented by active-duty military personnel to all veterans that served on active duty during the period of November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of location or service.

We hope that you will consider attending this event. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact the MOVA office at 832.393.0992 or MOVMA@houstontx.gov.
