February 2, 2011 City of Houston Capital Improvement Plan/Rebuild Houston meeting in your neighborhood (District D) District D Council Member Wanda Adams Tuesday, February 15, 2011 Judson Robinson, Jr. Community Center Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) meetings are held every year to inform citizens of upcoming projects scheduled in their respective communities. The meetings also afford citizens an opportunity to voice their concerns and address their respective City Council member and City of Houston officials. This year Mayor Annise Parker, Chief Development Officer Andy Icken and Dan Krueger, Director of Public Works & Engineering Department, will also present information in regards to ReBuild Houston. This Charter amendment was passed by voters of Houston on November 2, 2010. As a result, the City is required to create a dedicated pay-as-you-go fund to improve the City's streets and drainage facilities and to plan upgrades and improvements to meet future needs as the City of Houston continues to grow. For additional information, please contact Cecilia Ortiz with the Mayor's Citizens' Assistance Office, at (832) 393-0955. The City of Houston will provide reasonable accommodations to citizens with disabilities/special needs upon request one week in advance of the meeting as well. Citizens are encouraged to call the aforementioned for arrangements.
