Houston Climate Action Plan Education Outreach Partners Workshop

Houston is a diverse and resilient community that is facing the effects of climate change. Sustainability and resilience go hand in hand, and adapting to our changing climate is essential to the health and economic vitality of Houston’s future. Houston’s Climate Action Plan seeks to activate the voice of our future—Houston-area youth—to engage in civic conversations and actions around climate resilience. To accomplish this, Citizen's Environmental Coalition, in partnership with the City of Houston and other education professionals, are forming a network of industry, government, community and educational partners. Join the Houston Climate Action Plan Education Outreach Partners Workshop on December 11th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm CT. Together, the network will build the tools to mentor Houston youth, especially students of color and youth that have been historically underrepresented. As part of the workshop, the network will also build resources and opportunities to embolden future green changemakers. This virtual, collaborative planning workshop is for informal educators and community engagement coordinators. Registration is FREE! Register at https://bit.ly/2JwH7ph.
