Complete Communities & Education

The Mayor's Office is convening community conversations in each of Mayor's Complete Communities - Acres Homes, Gulfton, Third Ward, Second Ward, Near Northside - as well as three communities in which Houston ISD's "Superintendent Schools" are located - Eastex-Jensen, Kashmere Gardens, and Sunnyside.

We are utilizing "anchor organizations" already cemented in the community as our partners and conveners. We want to hear the community's education needs, especially for youth workforce training, out of school/after school programs, early education, community schools, and physical and mental health.

These are the community meetings scheduled so far. We will send another update when additional meetings are scheduled.
