Neighborhood Depositories/Recycling Centers Implement
New Days of Operation 

Effective Friday, July 1, 2011, the City of Houston Solid Waste Management Department will change the days of operation at the six neighborhood depositories (junk waste and recycling drop-off sites).  The days of service will resume to "pre-Ike" days of operation and will be open from Wednesday through Sunday and closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Full operations and services will be maintained at six facilities five days a week, except holidays, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. during daylight savings time, (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during non-daylight savings time).

Houston residents may utilize the Solid Waste Management Department neighborhood depositories/recycling centers to dispose of their junk waste:
