Public Comment Notice:
Infrastructure Design Manual Revisions
Department of Public Works and Engineering is accepting public comments through April 30, 2015 on the revisions that are being proposed to three chapters of the City's Infrastructure Design Manual. This manual sets the standards by which the City's infrastructure will be planned and constructed.
Proposed revisions to the Manual include defining a new City standard for "Context Sensitive Design" in Chapter 10. The proposed revisions include new or refined standards for items such as lane width, bike lanes, turn lanes and signals.
The proposed revisions to the Design Manual are focused within Chapter 6 (Utility Locations), Chapter 10 (Street and Paving Design Requirements), and Chapter 12 (Street Cut Requirements). The revisions were made by the Public Works and Engineering Department's Standards Review Committee (SRC) after receiving public comments prior to November 13, 2013. The SRC is now requesting additional public comments.

All public comments should be received no later than 5 p.m., April 30, 2015. After that time, the committee will review all comments and authorize the City Engineer to publish the 2014-2015 version of the Infrastructure Design Manual by July 1, 2015.
