Flood Recovery Information and Resources Workshops Scheduled

5:00 PM-6:30 PM & 7:00 PM-8:30 PM
Representatives will be on hand from the Small Business Administration, FEMA and Jewish Family Services. The City of Houston Floodplain Management Office will have staff available to answer questions beginning at 4:00 p.m. so citizens are encouraged to bring documents and questions. The goal is to provide homeowners with the information they need to make informed decisions regarding renovations and critical next steps.

All situations are unique. Attend this workshop, call 832-394-8854, visit the City Floodplain Management Office in person at 1002 Washington or go to www.houstonrecovers.org to explore all your options. A Floodplain Development Permit is required only if your house is in the floodplain and the
- total cost to repair your house to pre-damage condition is more than $10, 000
or
- total cost of repairs is 50% or more than the pre-damage market value of your house (not including land)
