Houston Public Library's Collier Regional Library Has Reopened

The Houston Public Library Collier Regional Library (Collier) has reopened to the public after being closed for renovation. Collier is located at 6200 Pinemont, Houston 77092, 832.393.1740. Operating hours are Mondays noon - 8 p.m., Tuesdays 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Wednesdays noon - 8 p.m., Thursdays 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Fridays 1 - 5 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and closed on Sundays.

The renovation included the following:

  • Interior enhancements such as new rubber flooring, new paint colors and refinished furniture
  • The meeting room was painted and new rubber flooring installed
  • A new teen room was added including a glass wall partition, new furniture and shelving
  • A new look in the children's area, along with new soft seating and refinished furniture
  • The reference desk was replaced by an information desk and moved to a more central location.
  • Glass walls were installed to separate children, teen and adult areas
  • The number of computers was expanded by 150% to 32
