New Office Serves Houston's Local International Communities

Mayor Annise Parker has established the new Office of International Communities as part of her initiative to reach out to the growing number of Houston's multicultural communities. This office will coordinate programs, services and other resources to promote the successful civic, economic, and cultural integration of Houston's vast and diverse population.

The Mayor emphasized that the office will work to build partnerships within the community for City of Houston outreach to international civic and cultural organizations, and citizens from other countries that call Houston home.

For more information on the Office of International Communities, visit, email or call 832.393.0855.

The Office of International Communities brings together Houston's international community by promoting their well-being and connectedness and facilitating their successful civic, economic, and cultural integration in Houston.
