380 Agreement Details with developer Ainbinder about Koehler Street Development

During the second town hall meeting regarding the Koehler Street Development, also referred to as the possible Wal-Mart project, I promised to provide the 380 agreement as soon as it was ready to be considered by Houston City Council. In accordance with my pledge to residents for transparency during this process, the agreement has been posted on the City’s Koehler Street Development Webpage at https://www.houstontx.gov/koehler/koehler380.pdf.

From the start, my goal has been to have the developer build with traffic, drainage, noise and crime concerns in mind. Your feedback through e-mails, phone calls and both town hall meetings played a big role in the negotiations. However, it is important to note that neither I nor City Council are able to tell the developer which stores may be leased on this or any property. We can only ask that they pay attention to specific issues raised by the community and address them adequately.
