METRO's Summer of Fun Student Q Fare Card Program Means Students Ride Free
Get ready for a summer of fun! METRO's Summer of Fun program allows students, kindergarten through college, to ride for FREE with their Student METRO QR Fare Card from June 1, 2018 to Sept. 1, 2018. This includes rides on METRORail, local buses and Park & Ride services. If students already have a valid Student METRO QR Fare Card, they're good to go! From June 1 - Sept. 1, they can ride as much as they want and their card will not be charged. The fun continues even when students head back to class. After Sept. 1, 2018, the card automatically converts to a discounted Student QR Fare card, which offers a 50 percent student discount. When students reload the card with money, they will automatically get half off the full fare, which means the savings continue!
There are three ways to apply for the Student METRO QR Fare card:
- Online at RideMETRO.org under the Summer of Fun Link.
- By mail. Download the mail-in application. Or, Call 713-635-4000 and METRO will mail you one.
- In person at the METRO RideStore located at 1900 Main St. or 1001 Travis St.
