Houston Public Library and Public Poetry are presenting the second in their ongoing poetry series. These interactive poetry events will feature local and visiting poets, and the occasional local celebrity or public figure. Poets will be available for Q&A and book signing at the end of each program. Central Library Please note: The Houston Public Library's parking garage will be closed on Saturday, May 7, 2011, due to the International Festival. However, there is street parking as well as alternate garage parking in the area. 2nd Annual Houston Public Library Children's Book Central Library Children are invited to enjoy all the fun and exciting activities scheduled for the Houston Public Library's Books Alive! Feed Your Dreams 2nd Annual Children's Book Celebration. Join us for a full day of whimsical performances, hands-on arts and crafts activities, and other special events. The highlight of the celebration is the appearance of Laura Numeroff, renowned children's book author. Everyone who attends will receive a goody bag while supplies last.
