November 6, 2013 ReBuild Houston Project Completed in District E The Local Drainage Project at Delwin provided improvements to address localized storm water drainage issues in the area. This approximately $36,000 project, which runs along Berry Bayou at Delwin and Hinds, 77034 was completed on July 24, 2013. A Local Drainage Project is a small scale project that strives to optimize the existing drainage system with repairs and enhancements. This will include the repair, removal and/or replacement of storm sewers, as well as roadway pavement, curbs, sidewalks, access ramps and more. The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements.
