July 22, 2013 ReBuild Houston Project is Underway in Your Area The Local Drainage Project at Delwin and Hinds will provide improvements to resolve localized storm water drainage issues. This project, which runs along Berry Bayou at Delwin and Hinds, began June 17, 2013 and is anticipated to be complete by late July 2013. This project will involve replacement of the existing collapsed storm sewer outfall pipe at Berry Bayou and will be replaced with a new corrugated metal storm sewer pipe. Additional improvements include the construction, repair, removal, and/or replacement of storm sewers, as well as roadway pavement, curbs, sidewalks, access ramps, a water line and more. The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements.
