January 25, 2013 ReBuild Houston Project Notification The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter-initiated plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. ReBuild Houston will help improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Hayes Road Paving and Drainage Improvement project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you. The work includes of installation of storm sewers and street reconstruction that will improve mobility and increase drainage flow. The early stages of this $5.7 million dollar ReBuild Houston Project, which is expected to be completed in early 2014, and will consist of lane closures on Wilcrest from Lakeside Place to Hayes Road. The remainder of the project will affect Hayes Road to Briar Forest; however, construction mobilization taking place on Wilcrest will affect traffic in the area. Motorists are advised to seek an alternative route unless you live or work in the immediate area.
