August 29, 2014 ReBuild Houston Project Underway in District A The Inwood Forest Detention Basin Project will improve the quality of life for area residents by upgrading the drainage infrastructure in the area. This approximately $2 million project, located near Antoine and West Little York, 77088, began in August 2014 and is anticipated to be complete in February 2015. The Inwood Forest Detention Basin Project includes the construction of two detention basins with outfall systems, as well as the clearing of land for the detention basins and for an entrance and exit route for construction equipment. The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements.
