March 28, 2014 ReBuild Houston Project Underway in Districts A The Long Point Reconstruction Project will improve streets that have deteriorated beyond normal maintenance and repair. This $5.93M improvement project, which runs along Long Point from Pech to Hollister, 77055, is anticipated to be complete by late January 2015. The Long Point Reconstruction Project strives to improve traffic circulation, mobility and drainage in the area by constructing a four-lane divided concrete roadway with storm drainage, curbs, sidewalks, driveway connections, street lighting, traffic control, pavers and necessary underground utilities. The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Long Point Reconstruction Project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you. For questions email pwecip@houstontx.gov or call 832.395.2090.
