ReBuild Houston Project Notification
Long Point Reconstruction: Hollister Road to Pech Road
ZIP Code Area: 77080 and 77055
Motorists are now experiencing the benefits of the completion of a $5.9 million improvement project along Long Point Drive between Hollister Road and Pech Road.
The completed project, which began in spring 2014 and ended in summer 2015, consists of wider streets and intersections along this four-lane divided concrete roadway. Additional improvements include new storm drainage, curbs, sidewalks, driveways, street lighting, and necessary underground utilities. This project improved mobility and drainage in the area.
A community meeting to discuss additional improvements along Long Point will be held November 17, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Unitarian Fellowship of Houston, 1504 Wirt Rd, Houston, TX 77055.
This project is funded through ReBuild Houston funding - the voter-approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild and maintain the City's aging drainage and street infrastructure, without incurring new debt. This is an active example of how ReBuild Houston is providing better streets, better drainage and a better future.
