December 9, 2013 ReBuild Houston Project Underway in District I The Morley Concrete Panel Replacement Project will improve streets in the area by repairing the existing deteriorating roadway. This approximately $170,000 improvement project, which runs along Morley Street from Glencrest to Broadway 77061, is anticipated to be complete by late December 2013. Concrete panel replacement is used to repair severely cracked and broken sections of concrete streets. Additional features of this project include the repair and improvement of curbs and accessible ramps. During this process, motorists will notice lane closures around the repair areas and are urged to drive cautiously through these active work zones. The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Morley Concrete Panel Replacement Project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you. For questions email pwecip@houstontx.gov or call 832.395.2090.
