July 25, 2013 ReBuild Houston Project Completed in Your Area The West Little York Paving Project consisted of the reconstruction of a street that had deteriorated beyond the point of being fixed through normal repair and maintenance. This project will improve traffic circulation, mobility and drainage in the area. The $5.58M project, which runs along West Little York from T.C. Jester to Alabonson, was completed in late May 2013. The West Little York Paving Project involved the reconstruction of approximately 7,400 linear feet of concrete roadway, as well as the replacement of existing storm sewer system, sidewalks and driveways. The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements.
