July 31, 2014 ReBuild Houston Project Underway in District I The Woodforest Concrete Panel Replacement Project will improve streets that have deteriorated beyond normal maintenance and repair. This approximately $27,000 project, which runs along Woodforest at Gellhorn Drive, 77013, began in mid August 2014 and is anticipated to be complete in mid September 2014. Concrete panel replacement is used to rehabilitate severely cracked and broken sections of concrete streets. The Woodforest Concrete Panel Replacement Project involves the design and construction of reinforced concrete pavement, base repair, as well as repairs and improvements to curbs and accessible ramps. The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Woodforest Concrete Panel Replacement Project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
