June 25, 2008 FREE SMALL BUSINESS WORKSHOPS The Mayor's ONE STOP BUSINESS CENTER will be conducting an informative series of FREE "Starting A Small Business" Seminars at local Houston Public Libraries. Learn the rules, regulations, and requirements for operating a small business. Find out what permits, licenses, and fees are required. Receive information on SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) counseling, free and low cost technical assistance referrals and financial resources. Information will also be presented on the Minority/Women/Disadvantaged/Persons with Disabilities/Small Business Enterprises (M/W/DBE/SBE) Certification Program administered by the City of Houston's Affirmative Action and Contract Compliance Division. You need not be currently in business to attend these workshops. All participants will receive a FREE Getting Started Packet and other materials. NO ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED! 2008 Schedule
