Food Manager's Certification Course
The City of Houston Food Ordinance requires the presence of a food service manager (s) in food establishments during all stages of operation. Students completing the course and passing the examination with a score of 70 points or above receive a certificate, valid for five years. The City of Houston Food Service Managers's Certificate is valid only in the City of Houston. Check your Jurisdictions's requirements before registering for class. The City of Houston provides a one-day course and optional exam in lieu of class is available.
Reservations are required for all classes, including the optional exam session. Class size is limited.

A non-refundable fee must be made no later than two days prior to the date of the class.

Payment: money order, business check, cashier’s check, credit/debit cards
PERSONAL CHECKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED
Class dates and locations are subject to change.
Students will receive a packet containing a letter with instructions including the payment due dates and map of class location, payment invoice, and application. Return the invoice, completed application, and payment together. Call the office if you have not received your packet at least 10 days before class.
