T-28910 DR-17 Multifamily Program – Round I Notice of Funding Availability Application Log
HCDD’s application period for the DR-17 Round I NOFA ended April 12, 2019. The log represents all applications received at the end of the application period. HCDD has commenced its threshold review of the applications. Applicants with a noted deficiency will be notified and allowed to cure deficiencies within a certain period. Any applications that do not meet threshold within the allowed cure period will be cancelled. Scoring will commence after applications have been reviewed and cure periods expired. 

Several applications have also applied for 2019 9% Housing Tax Credits with the TDHCA. HCDD is aware of the timing requirements for this program and staff will work diligently to notify applicants of their award status as soon as possible. A revised list of applications that met threshold will be posted once the cure period for all applications have expired.

HCDD Minimum Property Standards Open Comment 

In 2011, HCDD developed its Minimum Property Standards to establish criteria for multifamily properties to ensure adequate life, health and safety standards for residents at HCDD financed developments. The Minimum Property Standards supplement local building codes by requiring properties to meet minimum standards of workmanship, durability and performance of various components of the multifamily property during the period of affordability.

Recommendations made up to November 30, 2018 have been considered. We welcome you to comment on the revised standards by Friday, March 1, 2019 to Mike Firenza at michael.firenza@houstontx.gov or by mail to 2100 Travis, 9th Floor Houston, TX 77002.

4% Resolution of No Objection

Applicants requesting a Resolution of No Objection required for 4% Housing Tax Credits must complete the attached request. Please note HCDD has a minimum 60-day time frame to review a resolution of no objection for all 4% applications.
