Let's Play Houston
September 24, 2026 -- The City of Houston broke ground on Lawrence Park, the first of 25 neighborhood parks being improved through the $60 million Let’s Play Houston initiative. This approximately $2 million investment will bring a new shaded, disability-inclusive playground, improved paths and connections to the M-K-T Trail, a fitness area, new seating spaces, and other improvements to make this park more welcoming and accessible for everyone.
