What is a CVLZ?

A portion of the curb dedicated for the sole use of the loading and unloading of commercial vehicles.

Unless time restrictions are indicated by signs, the CVLZ designation is effective 24 hours, 7 days of the week.

What is a Commercial Vehicle?

A vehicle that displays one or commercial vehicle signs, but does not include a taxi, limousine, bus or ride-share vehicle.

The vehicle must have one or more magnetic signs, painted letters or decals on each side (at least two inches in height) stating the name, logo, or other designation of the commercial entity operating the vehicle.

Types of Permits

Type A
Park in a CVLZ or 1-2 regular metered spaces without paying the meter for a period not to exceed 2 hours
Valid for 12 months
Transferable

Type B
Park in a CVLZ for a period not to exceed 1 hour
Valid for 12 months
Transferable

Type C
Park in a CVLZ for a period not to exceed 30 minutes
Valid for 12 months
Transferable

Type D
Park in a CVLZ for a period not to exceed 1 hour
Valid for 21 days
Limit 1 per vehicle owner per year
