Title: Challenger Memorial

Location: Tranquillity Park
A memorial to the astronauts who died in the January 28, 1986, wreck of the space shuttle Challenger has been placed in the north section of Tranquillity Park. It consists of a bronze plaque set in a rough-cut block of granite with one smooth surface. Seven stars represent the seven astronauts, and their names are inscribed on the plaque. It was dedicated in 1987.
