The City Hall Detail is charged with protecting the city council and mayor of the City of Houston. They are also responsible for security at the building itself. This detail is frequently called upon to respond to council meetings to deal with citizens that are overly passionate about a cause. The unit must balance free speech and opinion with the laws of the State of Texas and the City of Houston. The unit must ensure that business goes on for the good of the citizens.
