Incident at 3001 Hillcroft August 1 , 2007 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 3001 Hillcroft about 7:35 p.m. on Friday (July 27). The suspect, Jesse Michael Eagleton (b/m, DOB: 12/23/56), is charged with murder in the 208th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Constantino Reyes, 54, of 3001 Hillcroft. Reyes suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died three days after the shooting. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.C Padilla and Officer D.R. Daniel III reported: Mr. Reyes and his wife returned home from shopping and as they entered the security gate to their complex, were confronted by Eagleton, who was exiting the same gate. Eagleton began to assault Reyes, retrieved a pistol from a bag and then shot Reyes multiple times. Reyes was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital. Eagleton was taken into custody at the scene.
